The police pilots took time with the students and gave the students full accses to the chopper

  1. This would be a wonderful and exciting adventure for the students. It is great to see that their learning is taking place in such a situation. they will certainly remember this event. It is so practical and it makes all the theory they learn very real for them

  3. Do you have any other examples of this kind of practical task that you use in your teaching?
    In Australia a subject called DESIGN and TECHNOLOGY uses this approach to student learning and they have a very long project that goes across two years. The students do every part of the project from beginning to end and they make some fantastic things. My daughter designed a restaurant as her project with everything from the plumbing system to the menu. It was just fantastic.

  4. We do not have such large projects as you have but we have several development projects in which production from idea to finished product

  6. These are excellent as it gives the students the chance to go right from the beginning to the end. Do you find that you have to give some students more guidance than others? We do in Australia particularly if their literacy levels are not so good?

  7. yes some students need more help than others and it's probably in most classes.
